Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest transfer talk for Arsenal on Friday, December 25.

The summer transfer window has now closed, with Arsenal pulling off one of the standout deals on deadline day.

The Gunners triggered the release clause of Thomas Partey to cap off a relatively busy summer which saw the likes of Willian and Gabriel Magalhaes join too, and attention will now begin to turn to January.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest news on possible comings and goings at the Emirates Stadium.

Friday morning's Arsenal transfer talk news roundup:

Arsenal 'decide against move for Real Madrid's Isco'

Arsenal have reportedly ended their interest in Real Madrid playmaker Isco.

The Spain international continues to be linked with an exit from the Bernabeu after falling out of favour under Zinedine Zidane, starting just three La Liga games this term.

With Arsenal desperate for creativity in the middle of the park, the Gunners have been tipped to move for the out-of-favour Isco in January, with the Spain international about to enter the final 18 months of his Real Madrid deal.

However, the Daily Star reports that Isco is keen to join a club competing in the Champions League, and Arsenal have pulled out of the running to sign the playmaker, who is now expected to pen a deal with Juventus.

The Gunners have supposedly identified Isco's teammate Vinicius Junior as a potential alternative, with Real Madrid believed to be willing to sanction a loan exit for the Brazilian winger in January.

Isco registered his first goal contribution of the season on Wednesday evening as he came off the bench to assist Karim Benzema in Los Blancos' 2-0 win over Granada.

Barcelona 'rule out move for Arsenal's Shkodran Mustafi'

Barcelona have reportedly ruled out a move for Arsenal defender Shkodran Mustafi, despite his agent confirming talks between the two parties.

Mustafi has fallen out of favour under Mikel Arteta this season, playing just 44 minutes of Premier League football despite the Gunners' poor form in the top flight.

The 28-year-old is out of contract at the Emirates Stadium next summer and is able to open talks with foreign clubs over a free transfer from January.

Mustafi's agent Emre Ozturk confirmed that he was holding talks with Barcelona over a possible deal, but Mundo Deportivo reports that Barcelona have since denied any interest in signing the defender.

The report claims that Barcelona only held the meeting as a 'courtesy' and are not planning a move for the Germany international.

Arsenal are thought to be keen to offload Mustafi in January in order to recoup some element of transfer fee rather than losing him on a free next summer.
