An episode of The Golden Girls has been removed by US streamer Hulu due to concerns over blackface.
First aired in 1988, the season three episode 'Mixed Blessings' sees Dorothy's son Michael get married to a much older black woman, Lorraine.
Lorraine's family come to visit and just as they arrive, Rose and Blanche emerge from the kitchen wearing mud face masks, with a worried Rose telling them: "This is mud on our faces, we're not really black."
In the UK, where the show is currently being repeated on Channel 5, the episode was skipped when it was due to be broadcast last week - however, it is still available to purchase on Amazon's Prime Video service.
The removal of the episode comes a day after The Office showrunner decided to re-edit an episode of the show to cut a scene that involved the use of blackface.
