ITV has released a new trailer for Coronation Street previewing two of the biggest storylines coming up this month.

With his son Max (Paddy Bever) facing a lengthy prison sentence for arson, a guilty David (Jack P Shepherd) takes drastic action by deciding to end his own life, hiring a hitman to run him down in a car.

In the key episode, which airs this coming Wednesday, David is indeed run over but also caught in the crossfire is a pregnant Daisy (Charlotte Jordan) - will they all survive?

Another major storyline involves Rob Donovan (Marc Baylis), who returns later in the month having survived his fall in the warehouse, looking for help from his sister Carla (Alison King).

Police arrive and surround the house, but as a shot rings out, will Carla and Lisa (Vicky Myers) manage to escape unscathed?
