England recalled Jofra Archer for the series deciding third Test against Pakistan, with Sam Curran left out.

Archer’s return represented the only change from either side but he will have to wait for his chance to make an impact after Joe Root won the toss and opted to bat first at the Ageas Bowl.

Mark Wood was once again left out, meaning the team’s fastest bowler has now been on the sidelines for five consecutive matches.
