Jason Holder urges West Indies to take the attack to England again

The Windies cruised to victory in Barbados.

Jason Holder has told his West Indies team to "get stuck into the English again" when they reconvene on Thursday for the second Test in Antigua.

The hosts were in inspired form as they wrapped up a resounding 381-run win last week in Barbados, bettering their opponents across the board.

Holder's unbeaten double century in the second innings was easily the best batting performance of the match, Kemar Roach turned in a memorable spell of fast bowling to topple Joe Root's side for 77 and spinner Roston Chase finished things off on day four with incredible figures of eight for 60.

Repeating that kind of performance and weathering whatever fightback England can muster will be easier said than done but Holder is desperate to see another big performance to secure the series at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium.

"The last game has gone now, I said that first thing to the guys. They are pretty focused and really hungry," he said.

"Hopefully we can get stuck into the English again. We've got to hit all three departments every time we step on the field.

"We've seen glimpses that this team can perform and beat the top sides in the world and it's good to see we're bringing it a bit more but we need to be consistent."

The Windies expect both wicketkeeper Shane Dowrich and paceman Shannon Gabriel to be fit for selection on Thursday despite respective back and toe complaints.

Oshane Thomas stands by should Gabriel not make it but he will be keen to get another chance at England having unsettled captain Joe Root with his fast bouncers last time out.

"Shannon hurt his toe in Barbados but we expect to see him running in again," said Holder.

"It wasn't a surprise to see what he did, he's done it to many batsmen all over the world. He really carries pace. Shannon gave us momentum and really hit them hard."
