England have recorded a 67-run victory over Pakistan in Lahore to prevail 4-3 in the best-of-seven T20 series.

The tourists got back on level terms in dominant fashion on Friday, winning by eight wickets with 33 balls to spare, and their triumph in the decider on Sunday was equally as impressive.

After losing the toss and being put into bat, England picked up where they had left on two days earlier with Phil Salt and Alex Hales both attacking the home bowlers with regularity.

However, both openers fell in the space of three balls, Hales making 18 before Salt was run out for 20 in a mix up with Dawid Malan.

Although the momentum was with the hosts, Malan and Ben Duckett wrestled it back for England, putting on 62 for the third wicket before Duckett was out for 30 to leave England on 101-3 after just 9.5 overs.

Malan and Harry Brook would then put on a scintillating 108 from 61 balls, the former scoring 78 from 47 and the latter chipping in with a knock of 46 from 29 which included four maximums.

Having reached 209-3, England were clear favourites to emerge victorious, a feat which looked more achievable by the over with the ball.

Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam, both stars of the Pakistan top order, were dismissed within eight balls, and Iftikhar Ahmed would soon follow to see his team reduced to 33-3 off 5.1 overs.

While 53 runs were added for the fourth wicket, it took more than seven overs, and Pakistan had not reached three figures by the time that the fifth wicket fell after 14.5 overs.

Shan Masood (56) and Khushdil Shah (27) both posted impressive scores in their own right, but a combination of tight England bowling and a lack of ambition with the bat led to Pakistan never getting close to their target.

Chris Woakes was the pick of the England bowlers, posting figures of 3-26, with David Willey also contributing 2-22 as England build some momentum ahead of the start of the T20 World Cup later this month.
