Anthony Joshua 'feeling good' after weighing in at lowest weight for four years

Anthony Joshua hopes to be "a lot sharper" when taking on Joseph Parker in Cardiff on Saturday night after a substantial drop in weight.

IBF and WBA heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua has insisted that he is in a good shape heading into his unification bout with Joseph Parker.

The 28-year-old weighed in at 17st 4lbs 2oz on the eve of the fight - his lowest weight in four years - compared to 16st 12lbs 7oz for opponent Parker.

Joshua has lost close to a stone since facing Carlos Takam at the Principality Stadium at the end of October, but he is happy with his mass and believes that he will be "a lot sharper" in the ring on Saturday night.

"I feel better. Training is all about rehearsal and so is sparring, but it has gone well," he told Sky Sports News. "You will see I will be a lot sharper. My reflexes will be sharper and my speed will be much sharper.

"[Parker] looked good, but I would expect that from a world champion. You will be in for a good, good fight tomorrow night, believe me."

Joshua has also previously weighed in at 18st 2lbs for his bout with Wladimir Klitschko, 17st 11lbs against Eric Molina and 17st 6lbs when facing Dominic Breazeale.
