The IBF world heavyweight title fight between Daniel Dubois and Anthony Joshua is scheduled to go ahead at Wembley Stadium on Saturday night.

Having being elevated into the spot as champion, Dubois is putting the IBF belt on the line against a fellow British fighter looking to become a three-time world heavyweight champion.

Ahead of the highly-anticipated bout in London, Sports Mole takes a look at the tale of the tape.

DANIEL DUBOIS

AGE: 27

NICKNAME: Dynamite

HEIGHT: 6ft 5ins

REACH: 78ins

TRAINER: Don Charles

FIGHTS: 23

WINS: 21

DRAWS: 0

DEFEATS: 2

KNOCKOUTS: 20

LAST FIGHT: Eight-round stoppage vs. Filip Hrgovic (June 2024)

Dubois may be the champion heading into this fight, but he has gone the unconventional route to set up a title defence against one of the world's biggest sporting stars at Wembley.

A defeat to Joe Joyce could have had a detrimental effect on his career, yet the Londoner was WBA regular champion within three fights, overcoming Trevor Bryan in Florida back in June 2022.

Defying a knee injury, Dubois impressively bounced back from three knockdowns to stop Kevin Lerena, before his controversial defeat to Oleksandr Usyk in Poland where he was stopped in round nine after previously flooring the Ukrainian with a body shot was deemed an illegal blow.

Within the next 10 months, the 27-year-old had stopped Jarell Miller and Filip Hrgovic in fights where he was perceived to be the underdog, the latter win leading to him being elevated to IBF champion once Usyk vacated.

ANTHONY JOSHUA

AGE: 34

NICKNAME: AJ

HEIGHT: 6ft 6ins

REACH: 82ins

TRAINER: Ben Davison

FIGHTS: 31

WINS: 28

DRAWS: 0

DEFEATS: 3

KNOCKOUTS: 25

LAST FIGHT: Second-round stoppage vs. Francis Ngannou (March 2024)

Joshua is being provided with the chance to become a three-time world heavyweight champion at a stadium that he has already graced three times.

The Wladimir Klitschko triumph was the standout, yet the 2012 Olympic gold medallist has needed to defy two defeats from Usyk to get himself back into the world title picture.

Robert Helenius, Otto Wallin and Francis Ngannou have all been stopped to set up Saturday's showdown, Usyk and Tyson Fury no doubt interested observers ahead of a potential future matchup.
