Result: LeBron James inspires the Lakers

The 34-year-old scored 36 points and 10 rebounds.

LeBron James starred as the Los Angeles Lakers overturned a 20-point deficit to end a five-game losing run with a 123-107 win against the Chicago Bulls on Tuesday night.

Less than a week after overtaking Michael Jordan on the NBA's career scoring list, James produced a memorable night at the arena Jordan used to grace.

The 34-year-old scored 36 points and 10 rebounds for his highest-scoring game since December 18.

Kyle Kuzma marked his return from injury by adding 21 points while Kentavious Caldwell-Pope contributed 24 points off the bench for the Lakers.

Robin Lopez scored 20 points for the Bulls while Otto Porter Jr. registered 19.

Giannis Antetokounmpo had 24 points as the Milwaukee Bucks produced a 45-point third-quarter to defeat the New Orleans Pelicans 130-113.

Khris Middleton scored 23 points, Malcolm Brogdon added 18 and Eric Bledsoe and former Pelicans forward Nikola Mirotic each chipped in with 14.

Elfrid Payton had his second consecutive triple-double, finishing with 14 points, a career-high 15 rebounds and 11 assists to become the first New Orleans player to have a triple-double in back-to-back games since Chris Paul in 2008.

Darren Collison made two free throws with 19.5 seconds left on the clock to help the Indiana Pacers beat the New York Knicks 103-98 and keep them tied with Philadelphia for third spot in the Eastern Conference.

The 76ers held off the Cleveland Cavaliers 106-99, with Ben Simmons scoring 26 points and Joel Embiid making 19 rebounds.

DeMar DeRozan recorded 33 points and LaMarcus Aldridge added 28 to help the San Antonio Spurs to a 112-105 victory over the Dallas Mavericks, who lost for the sixth straight game and for the 11th in 12 outings.

Jamal Murray hit 30 points and Mason Plumlee made eight of Denver's season-high 40 assists as the Nuggets cruised to a 133-107 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The Portland Trail Blazers ended the Los Angeles Clippers' five-game winning streak with a 125-104 victory, with CJ McCollum scoring 35 points and Jusuf Nurkic and Damian Lillard netting 20 each.
