An 11-game winning streak came to an end on Wednesday night at the US Airways Center as the Portland Trail Blazers lost 120-106 to the Phoenix Suns.

Goran Dragic starred for the Suns with 31 points and 10 assists for the Suns, who were 11 points behind at the start of the second quarter.

The San Antonio Spurs were also beaten for the first time in 11 games as the Oklahoma City Thunder earned a 94-88 win in front of their home supporters.

Reggie Jackson scored eight points in a row early in the fourth quarter to stretch the Thunder's lead to 11 at one stage and end the Spurs challenge.

The Miami Heat recorded their eighth straight success with a 95-84 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers.

LeBron James ended the game against his former side with 28 points as the Heat condemned the Cavaliers to a fourth successive defeat.

CJ Watson came off the bench to lead the Indiana Pacers to a 99-74 triumph over the Charlotte Bobcats.

The point guard made five three-point efforts in the final quarter to finish with 18 points as a strong finish from the Pacers helped them stretch their record to 14-1.

Nikola Vucevic recorded 21 points and 16 rebounds for the Orlando Magic in a convincing win over the Philadelphia 76ers at the Amway Center.

A second-half fightback from the Sixers threatened the hosts, who led by 10 in the first half, but the Magic held on for a 105-94 victory.

The Memphis Grizzlies edged to a 100-93 triumph over the Boston Celtics thanks to a strong early display.

Marc Gasol's absence was felt in defence when the Celtics hit back in the second half but the Grizzlies managed to secure their fifth away win in a row.

The Los Angeles Lakers suffered a scare after blowing a 27-point lead in their victory over a spirited Brooklyn Nets.

Nick Young finished with a season-high 26 points for the Lakers, who were fortunate to see Paul Pierce miss a chance to tie the game with 2.2 seconds left on the clock.

The Chicago Bulls ended a run of four losses by beating the Detroit Pistons 99-79 to secure their second away win of the season.

Luol Deng recorded 27 points, while the Bulls were also helped Taj Gibson's career-high 23 points off the bench.

The Houston Rockets continued to deal with the absence of James Harden in impressive style as they recorded a 113-84 victory over the Atlanta Hawks.

Francisco Garcia and Aaron Brooks both scored 21 points for the Rockets in their biggest win of the season.

The Washington Wizards needed overtime to beat the Milwaukee Bucks 100-92 at the BMO Harris Bradley Center.

Marcin Gortat finished the game with 25 points and eight rebounds but it was Milwaukee's inability to make shots in overtime which handed the Wizards victory.

Ty Lawson scored 23 points as the Denver Nuggets beat the Minnesota Timberwolves to win for the seventh time in nine games.

Kevin Martin recorded 29 in a 117-110 defeat as the Timberwolves failed to recover from a poor second quarter display.

The Dallas Mavericks survived a fourth-quarter fightback from the Golden State Warriors to secure a 103-99 victory, with Dirk Nowitzki scoring 22 points for the hosts.

Monta Ellis struggled for the Mavericks but Stephen Curry's 29 points proved to be in a losing cause for the Warriors, who have lost five of their nine away games this season.

The New York Knicks continued their poor form by falling to a seventh successive defeat at the hands of the Los Angeles Clippers.

Chris Paul, who scored 15 points for the Clippers, injured his hamstring but a flurry of late misses from the Knicks helped the hosts claim a 93-80 win.
