Jonnie Peacock wins the men's 100m T44 final to secure his second Paralympics gold for GB.

Jonnie Peacock has won the men's 100m T44 final to secure gold for Great Britain at the Paralympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.

The 23-year-old - defending champion from London 2012 - comfortably took the race with a time of 10.81s, equalling his own Paralympic record set in the heats stage on Thursday.

Peacock finished 0.21s ahead of his nearest competitor, Liam Malone of New Zealand, who just edged out Germany's Felix Streng by one-hundredth of a second.

The result capped a strong night on the track for GB and followed on from golds for Georgina Hermitage, Sophie Hahn and Libby Clegg, as well as a bronze for Kadeena Cox.

Great Britain have now solidified their hold on second place in the medals table with a haul so far of 12 golds, five silvers and nine bronzes.
