Saudi clubs planning late moves for Aguerd, Fornals?
West Ham United duo Nayef Aguerd and Pablo Fornals are reportedly attracting interest from clubs in Saudi Arabia.
Aguerd joined the Hammers from Rennes last summer for around £30m and has since established himself as a key central defender under manager David Moyes.
The Morocco international, who helped his nation reach the 2022 World Cup semi-finals, endured an injury-hit debut campaign with West Ham last season, but he still featured 30 times in all competitions and won the Europa Conference League.
Even though Aguerd still has four years remaining on his contract at the London Stadium, Football Insider reports that Saudi Pro League champions Al-Ittihad are planning a 'shock' move for the defender.

Morelos bids farewell to Rangers after signing for Santos
Former Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos has joined Brazilian side Santos on a free transfer.
The 27-year-old has put pen to paper on a two-year deal with the South American giants, three months after ending his six-year association with the Gers and leaving Ibrox as a free agent.
Morelos had initially expressed his desire to continue playing in Europe and was linked with a number of clubs across Spain, Italy, Turkey and Russia.
The Colombia international appeared to be closing in on a move to Fenerbahce last month, with The Scottish Sun reporting that the striker had flown to Turkey ahead of undergoing a proposed medical.

Newcastle's Isaac Hayden joins Standard Liege on loan
Newcastle United have confirmed that midfielder Isaac Hayden has joined Belgian club Standard Liege on a season-long loan deal.
The 28-year-old was on the verge of staying in the Premier League with Luton Town, but a temporary move to Kenilworth Road collapsed last week as both parties failed to reach a full agreement.
Hayden spent last season on loan at Championship club Norwich City, making just 14 league appearances due to injury, and he will now spend the 2023-24 campaign with Standard Liege.
"Isaac is a quality player with physical impact and leadership," Standard Liege director of football Fergal Harkin told the club's official website.

Jordan Henderson: 'I never wanted to hurt the LGBTQ+ community'
Former Liverpool midfielder Jordan Henderson has stressed that he "never" wanted to hurt the LGBTQ+ community with his highly controversial move to Saudi Arabia.
After 492 appearances and 33 goals in a Liverpool shirt, Henderson left 12 years of Anfield memories behind to join Steven Gerrard's Al Ettifaq in the Middle East this summer.
Henderson was one of a plethora of renowned players to depart Europe for the Middle East, although much was made of his transfer in particular given his support for the LGBTQ+ community.
The former Sunderland man frequently advocated for LGBTQ+ rights in the Premier League by donning rainbow laces and the rainbow armband, the latter of which was greyed out in his Al Ettifaq announcement video.

Jordan Henderson felt 'unwanted' at Liverpool but money was "never a motivation"
Al Ettifaq and England midfielder Jordan Henderson has denied that he was motivated to leave Liverpool for Saudi Arabia for financial reasons.
At the end of July, the 33-year-old closed his Anfield chapter after 12 years of service to the Reds in order to join Al Ettifaq, who are managed by former Reds skipper Steven Gerrard.
The former Sunderland man joined former teammates Roberto Firmino and Fabinho in Saudi Arabia - alongside other high-profile names such as Neymar, Karim Benzema and N'Golo Kante - despite the country's well-documented human rights record.
As a result, Henderson's departure to the Middle East attracted enormous criticism, particularly from the LGBTQ+ community, whom the midfielder was a staunch supporter of during his time in the Premier League.

Wolves praise Podence professionalism after Olympiacos move
Wolverhampton Wanderers head coach Matt Hobbs has praised Daniel Podence for being 'happy to protect the club' in faciliating a loan switch to Olympiacos.
Throughout the summer transfer window, Podence has not been involved with the first team courtesy of the likelihood of a transfer elsewhere.
With a year left on his contract and the winger being willing to take on a new challenge, the Portugal international trained away from the senior group.
However, once the transfer window shut for many of European football's top leagues, the 27-year-old's options became limited, reports indicating that a switch to the Middle East was the most likely outcome.
