Swansea City chairman Huw Jenkins delighted with double signing

Swansea City chairman Huw Jenkins reveals his delight after the Welsh outfit were able to bring Andre Ayew and Andy King to the club on transfer deadline day.

Swansea City chairman Huw Jenkins has revealed his delight after the Welsh outfit were able to bring Andre Ayew and Andy King to the club on transfer deadline day.

Ayew sealed a permanent return to the Liberty Stadium from West Ham United, while King moved from Leicester City on loan for the remainder of the 2017-18 campaign.

The pair will boost a Swansea side that have won their last two Premier League matches, and Jenkins is excited to have the duo on board.

"Andre is a player we know very well and the manager is delighted to welcome him into the squad," Jenkins told Swansea's official website.

"Aside from his experience and the fact he has been here before, his ability to play in different positions is a big help to Carlos. He will provide the options needed in certain games.

"With the way Jordan [Ayew] is playing, it will be interesting to see how his bond with his brother can develop in the remaining 13 league games. His character and personality is something every club needs, and he will help us a lot.

Meanwhile, Jenkins also commented on King's arrival: "Andy is well known to everyone in football. He has been a good servant to Leicester and he will add quality and experience to our squad.

"The aim is for Andy to come here and compete for a starting role and push us forward."

Swansea will attempt to make it three straight league wins when they travel to Leicester on Saturday afternoon.
