Sports Mole previews Saturday's Championship clash between Swansea City and Huddersfield Town, including predictions, team news and possible lineups.

Following a dramatic comeback last week, Swansea City will look to make a return to winning ways on Saturday, when they welcome Huddersfield Town to the Liberty Stadium.

The Swans trailed 3-0 against Luton but went on to salvage a point in impressive fashion, while their visitors will look to bounce back after a defeat to strugglers Nottingham Forest.

Match preview

Following the summer departure of Steve Cooper and the subsequent appointment of Russell Martin as manager, Swansea have had a slow start to the new Championship campaign, currently sitting in 20th spot with just one victory from their opening eight matches.

That came away against rivals Bristol City, as Joel Piroe netted the only goal, before they went on to lose the following game to Preston North End and play out goalless draws with Hull City and Millwall.

The Swans then looked set to fall to a defeat last Saturday, as Luton led 3-0 heading into the final 10 minutes, but Jamie Paterson and Olivier Ntcham pulled goals back in the 83rd and 86th minutes respectively, before Piroe scored from the edge of the box in injury time to salvage a point in dramatic fashion.

They now come into Saturday's game on the back of a cup defeat though, as an Aaron Connolly brace fired Premier League side Brighton & Hove Albion to a 2-0 win.

With their priority more on correcting the league form, Martin's side will now go in search of a first victory in five Championship games to kickstart a rise up the table.

They meet a Huddersfield Town side who may be slowly seeing the faith in manager Carlos Corberan bearing fruit, after a relatively impressive start to the season.

After a draw with Derby and a heavy defeat to Fulham, the Terriers strung three consecutive Championship victories together, defeating Preston North End, newly-relegated Sheffield United and Reading, with the latter being a 4-0 thrashing thanks to goals from Lewis O'Brien, Matty Pearson, Sorba Thomas and Danny Ward.

While they have hit a slightly more inconsistent patch in recent weeks, Corberan's men bounced back from a narrow defeat to a fancied Stoke side with a 3-0 away win over Blackpool, as Pearson again got on the scoresheet alongside Josh Koroma and Jonathan Hogg.

The Yorkshire outfit now head to Wales on the back of their third league loss of the season, as Nottingham Forest, fresh off the departure of Chris Hughton, left the John Smith's Stadium with a 2-0 victory.

While that saw them drop out of the playoff places down to seventh spot, the Terriers can quickly climb back into the top six, and they will be keen to bounce back on Saturday.

Team News

Swansea should come in with a clean bill of health, although Martin may look to make changes to his side, given their winless run.

Olivier Ntcham and Joel Piroe netted crucial late goals off the bench against Luton and did not start against Brighton, potentially suggesting they were being rested to start on Saturday.

Ben Cabango came back into the starting XI for the cup game after being reduced to a substitute in the trip to Luton, and he should again occupy a place in the back three this time around.

Huddersfield will likely remain without experienced striker Jordan Rhodes, leaving Danny Ward and Fraizer Campbell to battle to lead the line.

Whichever striker is selected will be supported by exciting forward Josh Koroma, who registered eight goals and two assists in 20 Championship games last year, before being sidelined by a long-term injury.

Key midfielder Lewis O'Brien recently committed his future to the Terriers, amid links to Premier League side Leeds United, and he will continue to partner Jonathan Hogg in the engine room.

Swansea City possible starting lineup:
Benda; Cabango, Cooper, Manning; Latibeaudiere, Ntcham, Grimes, Bidwell; Paterson, Piroe, Obafemi

Huddersfield Town possible starting lineup:
Nicholls; Pearson, Lees, Colwill; Thomas, Hogg, O'Brien, Toffolo; Koroma, Ward, Sinani

We say: Swansea City 1-1 Huddersfield Town

With both sides deploying identical systems and attempting a similar play style, we see them cancelling one another out on Saturday.

Swansea will take confidence from their comeback last week but are not faced with a simple task, and we predict a low-scoring draw.
