Saturday's Championship predictions including Stoke City vs. Bournemouth

:Headline: Saturday's Championship predictions including Stoke City vs. Bournemouth: ID:428868: from db_amp
Sports Mole provides score predictions for all of Saturday's Championship fixtures, including Stoke City vs. Bournemouth.

Birmingham vs. Blackburn (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Blackburn Rovers travel to St Andrew's to face Birmingham City on Saturday as they look to overcome a poor run of form that has seen them slip down the table.

Rovers were narrowly beaten in midweek by a Huddersfield Town team that leapfrogged them in the table after a 2-1 home win, while City were hammered by a revived Derby County side who ran out 4-0 winners.

We say: Birmingham City 1-2 Blackburn Rovers

Poor recent form from both sides means that we are likely to see two sides bereft of any confidence. Still, given City's poor defensive numbers, we see this as something Rovers could exploit seeing as they have Adam Armstrong, the league's second top goalscorer in their ranks. With all of this in mind, we see Rovers sneaking an away win.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Huddersfield vs. Reading (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Huddersfield Town square off against Reading in the Championship on Saturday afternoon looking to move within three points of their sixth-placed opponents.

While the Terriers have prevailed in their last five home fixtures, the Royals have won just once away from the Madejski Stadium over the same amount of matches.

We say: Huddersfield Town 1-1 Reading

Reading have been unpredictable for large parts of this season, an argument strengthened by their goalless draw at Swansea. We make Huddersfield the favourites for this contest, but the visitors are capable of ending their opponents' winning streak in Yorkshire.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Millwall vs. Coventry (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Following an enforced break from Championship action to end 2020, Millwall host promoted Coventry City at the New Den on Saturday, with the sides separated by just two points and one place in the table.

The Lions sit 16th in the standings after their previous two fixtures were postponed due to a COVID-19 outbreak, with Coventry still behind them after four games without a goal.

We say: Millwall 1-1 Coventry City

Few would predict a frenzied goal-bonanza at the New Den on Saturday, as Millwall's defence is teak-tough and the visiting attack has been virtually non-existent in recent games.

Coventry, however, can take home a point to stay in touch with the Lions, as the home side takes time to settle back into Championship life following a two-week layoff.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Norwich vs. Barnsley (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Two teams who sit at the right end of the form table meet on Saturday as league-leaders Norwich City take on Barnsley at Carrow Road.

City have experienced a slight wobble in the last week having been beaten by Watford and failing to beat Queens Park Rangers at home, however they still sit three points clear at the summit of the Championship.

If Norwich are wobbling, Barnsley are standing firm, with six wins in their last eight games, including a professional win over Rotherham United in midweek.

We say: Norwich City 2-1 Barnsley

Barnsley could prove to be a real test for Farke's men, and while the Canaries have the firepower to come out on top, it will certainly be a tight encounter. If City can find their top gear, we feel they will have too much for the South Yorkshire outfit, coming away with a narrow win.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Preston vs. Nott'm Forest (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Preston North End play host to Nottingham Forest at Deepdale on Saturday as the visitors look to go five games unbeaten.

Preston, who are sitting in 11th spot in the league, overcame Coventry City last time out with a convincing 2-0 win.

Nottingham Forest, on the other hand, are just one spot above the Championship's drop zone after securing a point away to Stoke City.

We say: Preston North End 2-1 Nottingham Forest

Nottingham Forest are a better outfit than their league position suggests, but this should prove to be a tricky match for the Tricky Trees. Preston are in excellent form right now, and although their defence has been porous throughout the season, they could well find a way to score against Hughton's side. With that in mind, we are predicting a narrow home victory for the Lilywhites.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Rotherham vs. Cardiff (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Out-of-form sides Rotherham United and Cardiff City meet at the New York Stadium on Saturday seeking a return to winning ways in the Championship.

Rotherham have won one of their last nine games and are in the relegation zone, while Cardiff's playoff hopes have taken a serious dent following three defeats in a row.

We say: Rotherham United 0-2 Cardiff City

This is surely a do-or-die match for Cardiff boss Harris on the back of three straight defeats.

Rotherham are themselves in need of points, but we can see the Bluebirds getting their campaign back on track with victory at the New York Stadium.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Swansea vs. Watford (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Automatic promotion contenders Swansea City and Watford meet at the Liberty Stadium in arguably the pick of Saturday's Championship fixtures.

Third-place Swansea were held at home to Reading last time out but enter this game three points better off than Watford, who are down in fifth.

We say: Swansea City 2-1 Watford

This is a huge match at the top end of the Championship between two sides targeting automatic promotion.

Swansea are unbeaten in eight league matches at the Liberty Stadium, while Watford have won only one won of their last seven on their travels, so we are backing the Swans to prevail.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Wycombe vs. Middlesbrough (Saturday, 3.00pm)

Bottom of the league Wycombe Wanderers welcome Middlesbrough to Adams Park on Saturday as these two sides meet for the very first time in their history.

Wanderers come into this fixture off the back of a 2-1 win over Cardiff City, thanks to goals from Ryan Tafazolli and David Wheeler, while Middlesbrough have been riddled with inconsistency in recent weeks, and fell at the hands of managerless Sheffield Wednesday in midweek.

We say: Wycombe Wanderers 1-2 Middlesbrough

Boro will be keen to get back to winning ways, and Warnock will likely have his team raring to go after suffering an unexpected defeat to the Owls. With this in mind, we predict that Boro will come through this one, winning their first game of the calendar year for the eighth year in a row.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.

Stoke vs. Bournemouth (Saturday, 7.45pm)

Stoke City and Bournemouth meet in the Championship on Saturday evening with just three points separating the promotion-chasing clubs in the standings.

However, each side have failed to win in two matches, leaving them in seventh and fourth position respectively ahead of the game at the bet365 Stadium.

We say: Stoke City 1-1 Bournemouth

While both clubs are in need of maximum points to boost their promotion hopes, O'Neill and Tindall may be prepared to accept a share of the spoils. With that in mind, expect defences to come out on top in the Potteries on Saturday night.

Our tipster partners are predicting over 1.5 goals.
