Tottenham Hotspur reportedly identify three positions to strengthen in the January transfer window, including a new striker and centre-back.

Tottenham Hotspur could reportedly attempt to bring three new players to the club in the January transfer window.

Antonio Conte has overseen quite the upturn in fortunes since taking the reins from Nuno Espirito Santo, with Spurs six points behind fourth-placed Arsenal having played three games fewer.

The ex-Inter Milan and Chelsea boss is expected to oversee a significant reshuffle of the squad in 2022, though, and football.london claims that three positions in particular will be targeted over the winter.

The report claims that Spurs will firstly aim to bring a new right-wing back to the club, with Matt Doherty supposedly being given the green light to leave for the right price.

A new striker to provide competition and support to Harry Kane is also thought to be on the wishlist, with Lorenzo Insigne and Dusan Vlahovic both linked with moves to North London.

Finally, Spurs are also reported to be eyeing new centre-backs for the January window and have been credited with an interest in Matthijs de Ligt, Milan Skriniar and Stefan de Vrij.

There is also said to be optimism over a new contract for Hugo Lloris, who is about to enter the final six months of his existing deal in North London. body check tags ::
