Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly open to letting Dele Alli leave the club in the January transfer window.

The England international has struggled for minutes in the Premier League in recent weeks and was left out of Nuno Espirito Santo's squad for Wednesday's EFL Cup win over Burnley.

Despite playing the full 90 minutes in Spurs' first five Premier League games this term, Alli's struggles have re-emerged, as he has been an unused substitute in his side's last three top-flight encounters.

Daniel Levy was reluctant to let Alli move on in the summer despite reported interest from Paris Saint-Germain, but The Athletic reports that Spurs are now 'more open' to a departure.

The report adds that Newcastle United could now look to swoop for the playmaker, ruling out a reunion with Mauricio Pochettino at the Parc des Princes.

Alli has two goals and one assist to boast from 11 games in all competitions this season and is contracted to the North London club until the summer of 2024. body check tags ::
