Tottenham Hotspur reportedly identify an alternative to Sergio Reguilon, who could be re-signed by Real Madrid this summer.

Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly identified Genoa defender Andrea Cambiaso as an alternative to Sergio Reguilon.

When Spurs signed Reguilon in 2020, they had to agree to a buy-back clause, giving Real the opportunity to re-sign the left-back at the end of 2021-22.

While Los Blancos have made no decisions regarding a potential reunion with the 25-year-old, it is a scenario which could suit all parties with the club in the market for a new player for that position.

According to Alfredo Pedulla, Spurs are scouring the market for a potential replacement and hold an interest in Cambiaso.

The 22-year-old has established himself as a regular at Genoa this season, contributing one goal and four assists from 25 Serie A appearances.

Cambiaso, who is also said to be a target of Napoli and Juventus, has just 15 months remaining on his contract, and fresh terms will not be agreed while Genoa are battling to remain in the top flight. body check tags ::
