A report claims that Tottenham Hotspur are hopeful Brendan Rodgers will reconsider his position at Leicester City as they continue their search for a new manager.

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly not willing to accept defeat in their pursuit of Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers.

Spurs are on the lookout for a new boss after parting company with Jose Mourinho last week ahead of their EFL Cup final loss to Manchester City.

Leicester chief Rodgers was named as the early favourite to succeed Mourinho, only to publicly rule himself out of the running.

The likes of Erik ten Hag, Maurizio Sarri and Nuno Espirito Santo have each subsequently been linked with the job.

However, the Daily Mail claims that Tottenham will not turn their back on Rodgers and still hope to persuade the Northern Irishman to take over this summer.

It is suggested that those inside Tottenham are hopeful Rodgers will reconsider his position at the King Power Stadium once the season is complete. body check tags ::
