How Tottenham Hotspur could line up against Maccabi Haifa

Sports Mole looks at how Tottenham Hotspur could line up for Thursday's Europa League playoff tie with Maccabi Haifa.

Tottenham Hotspur continue with their hectic early-season schedule with their Europa League playoff tie against Maccabi Haifa on Thursday night.

The game against the Israeli side is Spurs' third fixture in just five days, coming after competitive encounters against Newcastle United and Chelsea respectively.

Jose Mourinho, somewhat inevitably, opted to rotate the majority of his players for the EFL Cup tie against the Blues on Tuesday evening, but the Portuguese still has a number of decisions to make ahead of the club's next outing.

Here, Sports Mole predicts how Spurs could line up in a game where the winners will progress through to the group stages of the competition.

Out: Son Heung-min (hamstring), Gareth Bale (knee)

Aside from Son Heung-min and Gareth Bale being sidelined through hamstring and knee injuries respectively, Mourinho should be able to select from the rest of his squad.

With Hugo Lloris getting the nod against Chelsea, recent signing Joe Hart is in line to be provided with his second appearance in a Spurs shirt.

That could represent one of nine changes made by Mourinho, who may keep Eric Dier and Steven Bergwijn in his starting lineup.

While Sergio Reguilon has been added to the club's European squad, the left-back will likely drop down to the substitutes' bench after coming through 90 minutes on Tuesday night.

Dele Alli was again left out of the 18-man group for the London derby, a decision from Mourinho which only casts further doubt over the England international's future.

Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Harry Winks should get the nod in midfield, which would result in Moussa Sissoko, Tanguy Ndombele and Gedson Fernandes all missing out.
