Sweden will be without the services of winger Dejan Kulusevski and midfielder Mattias Svanberg for Monday's Euro 2020 opener with Spain, as both players have recently tested positive for coronavirus.

There is a hope that Kulusevski will be available for Sweden's second game against Slovakia, but both will be absent for the contest in Seville.

Pontus Jansson had emerged as a doubt earlier this week after missing a training session due to illness, but the Brentford defender has tested negative for coronavirus and will therefore be available.

Sweden are expected to line up in a 4-4-2 formation for the Group E clash, with Marcus Berg, who is the leading goalscorer in the squad with 24, being joined by Alexander Isak in the final third of the field.

Isak scored 17 times for Real Sociedad during the 2020-21 campaign and is likely to benefit from the absence of the injured Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Manchester United's Victor Lindelof is expected to be joined by Marcus Danielson in the middle of the defence, while Sebastian Larsson's experience could see him feature in midfield.

Albin Ekdal and Kristoffer Olsson are also likely to be included in the starting side, while Emil Forsberg is certain to be handed a spot in the XI against Luis Enrique's team.

Sweden possible starting lineup: Olsen; Lustig, Lindelof, Danielson, Augustinsson; S Larsson, Ekdal, Olsson, Forsberg; Isak, Berg
