Both Ronaldo and Mbappe – who have entered the final 12 months of their respective contracts – are looking to force through a transfer to a new club in the final seven days of this summer's window.

Ronaldo made a request to Juve to be a substitute for their opening league game against Udinese last weekend, with the forward hoping the leave Turin before the August 31 deadline.

Mbappe, meanwhile, has turned down a lucrative five-year contract extension to stay at PSG and is now considering his options away from the French capital.

According to AS, Ronaldo's desire to leave Juventus has alerted PSG, who would be willing to sell Mbappe this summer in order to generate funds to land the Portuguese international as his replacement.

Real Madrid are now understood to be ramping up their efforts to land Mbappe and are preparing a £145m bid in the final few days of the window.
