Napoli midfielder Fabian Ruiz will reportedly have the pick of a number of major European clubs in next summer's transfer window.

The 23-year-old joined Napoli from Real Betis ahead of the 2018-19 campaign, and the Spain international scored seven times in 40 appearances for the Italian outfit in all competitions last term.

Ruiz has started this season with one goal in four Serie A outings, meanwhile, and a number of clubs are currently being linked with an interest in the versatile midfielder.

According to reports in Spain, Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is determined to bring the Spaniard to the Bernabeu in next summer's transfer window, but the capital giants are likely to face strong competition.

Indeed, both Barcelona and Juventus are also believed to be firmly in the hunt, with Cristiano Ronaldo keen for his team to secure Ruiz's signature ahead of the La Liga giants.

Madrid are also said to have asked Napoli about Ruiz when discussing Colombia international James Rodriguez during the summer, but the Italian outfit's president Aurelio de Laurentiis made it clear that the former Betis youngster would not be available for transfer.
