Real Madrid and Barcelona could reportedly go head-to-head for the signature of Napoli midfielder Eljif Elmas.

The 22-year-old joined Napoli from Fenerbahce in 2019 and has made 96 appearances for his Italian club in all competitions, contributing six goals and four assists in the process.

This term, the North Macedonia international has been an important player for the Blues, featuring on 16 occasions, contributing two goals and two assists.

According to Calciomercato, both Real Madrid and Barcelona are interested in the midfielder, who is capable of operating in a number of different positions.

The report claims that a bid in the region of €17m (£14.4m) is likely to be considered by Napoli despite the fact that the North Macedonian still has four years left to run on his contract.
