Paris Saint-Germain defender Sergio Ramos is reportedly considering a retirement from football due to his persistent injury issues of late.

The 35-year-old former Real Madrid player has been plagued by numerous muscular problems over the past 18 months, restricting him to just 15 La Liga appearances in the Spanish capital last campaign.

Since moving on a free transfer to PSG last summer, injuries have continued to halt his career in Paris, and as a result, he has made just four appearances for his new side this season.

Due to the persistent fitness issues, Le Parisien are reporting that Ramos is even considering retiring from the game completely, which would bring the curtain down on a career that has yielded over 900 appearances for club and country, as well as 26 trophies.

After scoring his first goal for PSG in a 4-0 win against Reims on January 23, Ramos's latest calf problem looks set to keep him out for another couple of weeks.

As a result, the defender faces a race against time to be fit enough to face his former side Real Madrid in their Champions League tie on February 15. body check tags ::
