How Portugal could line up against Switzerland

:Headline: How Portugal could line up against Switzerland:
Ahead of the game between Portugal and Switzerland in the UEFA Nations League semi-finals, Sports Mole looks at how Fernando Santos's side could line up in Porto.

Portugal face Switzerland in the UEFA Nations League semi-finals on Wednesday night looking to move closer to winning their second trophy in three years.

The European champions came through a group which included Italy and Poland to reach this stage of the competition, with two wins and two draws being enough to finish three points ahead of Italy.

Portugal have also put together an eight-match unbeaten streak ahead of this week's fixture, although five of those games have ended in draws.

Below, Sports Mole predicts what starting lineup could be named by Fernando Santos as he looks to set up a final with either the Netherlands or England.

Cristiano Ronaldo did not feature during the qualification stages of this tournament, but the 34-year-old is likely to start in attack at Estadio do Dragao.

Santos has plenty of options to choose from when it comes to deciding on the players to play behind Ronaldo, with it appearing likely that Manchester City's Bernardo Silva and Valencia's Goncalo Guedes will feature in the final third.

Wolverhampton Wanderers trio Ruben Neves, Joao Moutinho and Diogo Jota have all impressed this season, and the latter is still awaiting his senior debut for his national team.

However, Santos could instead opt for Bruno Fernandes as the most creative of a midfield three, leaving Danilo Pereira and William Carvalho to occupy the defensive positions.

Wolves goalkeeper Rui Patricio should take his place between the sticks, while the back four appears set in stone.
