How Norwich City could line up next season

At a time when Norwich City are looking to avoid relegation from the Premier League, Sports Mole predicts how Daniel Farke's side could line up next season.

Despite Norwich City being praised for their performances this season, Daniel Farke's side currently sit at the bottom of the Premier League table.

With just six points separating the Canaries to 17th-placed Watford, Farke will feel that his team can still avoid an immediate return to the Championship.

However, the Norwich boss finds himself in a position where he will have to make preparations for two contrasting scenarios, aware that relegation could lead to a mass exodus.

Taking into consideration that some of Norwich's key men will remain at Carrow Road for at least another season, Sports Mole takes a look at how the East Anglian outfit could line up at the beginning of next season.

Given his status as first-choice goalkeeper, Tim Krul is likely to want to remain at Norwich for the foreseeable future, regardless of whether the team avoids relegation.

Max Aarons and Jamal Lewis are likely to be targeted by bigger clubs, which could see Sam Byram and recent arrival Sam McCallum take over in the full-back areas.

Although Ben Godfrey will also receive interest in his signature, Farke may prefer to keep the young centre-back at the club for one more season.

Norwich have recently been linked with a move for West Ham United midfielder Josh Cullen, and the current Charlton Athletic loanee could be brought in as a midfield partner for Alexander Tettey.

Providing that they can fend off interest in his signature, Emiliano Buendia could switch to the left flank to accommodate the arrival of Danel Sinani, who has been strongly linked with an exit from F91 Dudelange.

The Luxembourg international could add the creativity which will be lost by Todd Cantwell's likely exit if another club offers in excess of £20m.

Having contributed 11 goals and three assists this season, Teemu Pukki is expected to move to another Premier League side should Norwich suffer relegation.

However, youngster Adam Idah has already suggested that he could emerge as a replacement for the Finn in the coming years.
