Saturday's Major League Soccer predictions including Vancouver vs. New York City

:Headline: Saturday's Major League Soccer predictions including Vancouver vs. New York City: ID:479829: from db_amp
Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's Major League Soccer fixtures, including Vancouver vs. New York City.

New England vs. Dallas (Saturday, 6.30pm)

The New England Revolution begin their 2022 home campaign in Major League Soccer on Saturday when they host Dallas at Gillette Stadium in Greater Boston.

Both teams picked up a point in their opening fixture, with The Revs playing to a 2-2 draw versus the Portland Timbers, while the side from Texas failed to hold onto an early advantage, and drew Toronto 1-1.

We say: New England Revolution 3-1 Dallas

The Revs were the highest-scoring team in the league a season ago, and after one match in 2022, they look to be just as clinical and hard to contain.

Dallas' opening day performance was pretty solid, but that backline will have their hands full containing a potent New England attack, who come at you in waves with a playmaker that can pick out his forwards superbly, so expect Paes to be a busy man in goal.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Toronto vs. NY Red Bulls (Saturday, 7.00pm)

The New York Red Bulls have an opportunity to start the Major League Soccer regular season at 2-0 for the first time since 2017 when they travel to BMO Field to face Toronto on Saturday.

TFC scored a late first-half goal in their opener last week, drawing Dallas 1-1, while the New York press overwhelmed the San Jose Earthquakes in a 3-1 victory.

We say: Toronto 1-1 New York Red Bulls

Toronto showed flashes of brilliance in their opening fixture, and we expect them to come out more determined while showing more consistency as a team.

The Red Bulls seem pretty content to wait and bide their time, picking the right moments to press, which should be enough to earn them another point on the road against a young side still learning what it takes to win as a team.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Kansas vs. Houston (Saturday, 8.30pm)

Sporting Kansas City will entertain Houston Dynamo on Saturday as both sides look for a first victory of the Major League Soccer season.

The hosts lost their opening game of the campaign, while their visitors played out a goalless draw on home turf.

We say: Sporting Kansas City 1-1 Houston Dynamo

Following their differing performances last season, the hosts would expect to come into Saturday's clash as favourites, but their confidence will be hit by last weekend's defeat.

Houston Dynamo showed resilience to earn a point against Real Salt Lake, and we see a similar outcome taking place in Kansas with the visitors holding Vermes's side to a draw.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Montreal vs. Philadelphia (Saturday, 9.00pm)

CF Montreal and Philadelphia Union will go in search of their first MLS win of the 2021-22 season when they lock horns at the Saputo Stadium on Saturday.

The hosts will head into this one seeking to get one over the hosts having failed to win any of the last six meetings between the sides since 2019.

We say: CF Montreal 1-2 Philadelphia Union

Both sides will head into Saturday's game seeking their first win of the season after failing to pick up an opening-day victory in the league's curtain-raiser last weekend. The Us have been impressive in the recent history of this fixture and we predict they will extend their dominance and come away with all three points, albeit by a slender margin.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Earthquakes vs. Columbus Crew (Saturday, 10.30pm)

Having enjoyed mixed fortunes last time out, San Jose Earthquakes and Columbus Crew face off at the PayPal Park in round two of the 2022 Major League Soccer season on Saturday.

The home side fell to a 3-1 defeat in their season opener, while the visitors will be aiming to pick up where they left off following a 4-0 victory.

We say: San Jose Earthquakes 1-2 Columbus Crew

Columbus Crew could not have asked for a better start to their league campaign and will be looking to continue in the same vein this weekend. We are tipping them to carry the day, albeit by only a narrow margin.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Cincinnati vs. DC United (Saturday, 11.00pm)

DC United are looking to build on their positive start to the new MLS campaign, while FC Cincinnati will want to bounce back after a poor result on the opening day.

The two teams meet at the TQL Stadium on Saturday in gameweek two of the Eastern Conference, with visitors DC United currently sitting second in the table.

We say: FC Cincinnati 1-3 DC United

Cincinnati did create chances against Austin which is why they could cause Saturday's visitors a few problems and get themselves on the scoresheet in front of their home crowd.

However, DC United will be full of confidence from their victory last week and will look to use Cincinnati's poor defensive record to their advantage, suggesting that they could score another trio of goals.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Chicago Fire vs. Orlando City (Saturday, 11.00pm)

Orlando City will look to build on their opening-day Major League Soccer victory on Saturday, when they travel to Chicago Fire in the second round of fixtures of the campaign.

The Lions defeated CF Montreal in their first outing, while their hosts are in search of a first win after a goalless draw last time out.

We say: Chicago Fire 1-2 Orlando City

Chicago Fire looked solid in their opening game, but we ultimately see them falling short on Saturday.

While they certainly boast an improved squad, we still see Orlando's as the stronger of the two and expect them to make it two wins from two.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Minnesota Utd vs. Nashville (Saturday, 11.00pm)

Minnesota United welcome Nashville SC to the Allianz Field on Saturday in gameweek two of the MLS campaign, with the visitors currently sitting fourth in the Western Conference.

Nashville secured victory on the opening day, while Minnesota did avoid defeat, but could only manage to pick up one point, placing them seventh in the early standings.

We say: Minnesota United 2-1 Nashville SC

This encounter is likely to be a tight game with both teams showing promise from their opening match, but Minnesota demonstrated that they were strong on home soil last season, and that could be the difference this weekend.

Both teams are expected to get on the scoresheet, but home advantage could mean that Minnesota just go on to edge the three points.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Colorado vs. Atlanta (Saturday, 11.00pm)

Colorado Rapids will be aiming to bounce back from a heavy opening day defeat, when they face Atlanta United in the MLS on Saturday.

The visitors, on the other hand, will be looking to start their campaign with consecutive victories after an impressive performance in their opening fixture.

We say: Colorado Rapids 1-1 Atlanta United

Colorado will be looking to get off to a positive start on home turf, but we think they may have to settle for a point, when they face an Atlanta side who have usually fared well against the Rapids.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Salt Lake vs. Seattle (Saturday, 11.00pm)

Real Salt Lake will take to the field at the Rio Tinto Stadium for the first time this season, when they face Seattle Sounders this Saturday.

Meanwhile, Seattle Sounders will head on their travels for their first away game of the season, and they will be looking for a response after losing last weekend.

We say: Real Salt Lake 2-1 Seattle Sounders

Despite faring well on their travels last season, we think the Seattle Sounders will come up short on Saturday against a Real Salt Lake side that usually perform well in home contests against the Sounders.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.

Vancouver vs. NY City (Saturday, 11.00pm)

Two teams seeking to bounce back from defeats on the opening weekend will lock horns on Saturday, as MLS Cup holders New York City FC travel to Canada to face Vancouver Whitecaps.

The visitors were beaten courtesy of a last-minute goal against LA Galaxy, while the hosts shipped four goals in Ohio against Columbus Crew.

We say: Vancouver Whitecaps 1-3 New York City FC

Both teams have scored in all five previous meetings between Vancouver and NYCFC and we expect the net to ripple at both end of the pitch again this weekend.

The visitors are understandably the favourites and they should have no problems in returning to winning ways at BC Place.

Our tipster partners are predicting under 3.5 goals.
