Bayer Leverkusen teenager Florian Wirtz is reportedly planning to remain with the Bundesliga club for the next two seasons, despite reported interest in his services.

The creative midfielder, who only turned 18 years of age in May, has established himself as an integral figure in Gerardo Seoane's starting lineup.

Wirtz contributed with 16 goals in 38 appearances across all competitions for Leverkusen last season and has started the new campaign brightly, scoring five goals and providing four assists in just six matches for the German outfit.

The youngster's impressive form has alerted several top clubs around Europe, including Premier League duo Manchester United and Arsenal as well as Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund.

However, Wirtz's father, Joachim Wirtz, has revealed to Bild that the midfielder wants to continue with Leverkusen for "the next two years" and that "his focus is now only on Bayer".

Wirtz will not see his contract expire until June 2026, so Leverkusen are under no pressure to sell such a promising talent. body check tags ::
