West Ham United have reportedly made it clear to Manchester United that Declan Rice is not available this summer, with the Hammers rejecting a proposed swap deal involving Jesse Lingard.

The capital club are keen to sign Lingard on a permanent deal in the upcoming market, with the England international impressing since arriving at the London Stadium on loan in January.

A recent report claimed that Man United would be prepared to sell the attacker to David Moyes's side if Rice was included in the agreement.

However, according to The Sun, West Ham have no interest in allowing the defensive midfielder to move to Old Trafford during this summer's transfer window.

Rice is currently on the sidelines with a knee injury, but the 22-year-old has been a key player for the Hammers during the 2020-21 campaign, wearing the captain's armband in the absence of Mark Noble.

Lingard, who has just over 12 months left to run on his contract with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side, is also believed to be a target for Arsenal. body check tags ::
