Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly contemplating whether to try to cash in on forward Goncalo Ramos.

On the back of a 27-goal season for Benfica, PSG moved to sign Ramos on a season-long loan with the obligation to buy for £69m that was soon confirmed months later.

While the expectation was that the Portugal international would transfer his form to Ligue 1, he has contributed just four goals and one assist from 19 appearances in all competitions.

According to L'Equipe, head coach Luis Enrique now has doubts over whether he wants to keep the 22-year-old in the long term.

Ramos was not short of admirers before he made the switch to Parc des Princes, yet it is unclear whether they still remain, particularly if PSG want to recoup the money that they have already shelled out for Ramos.

Manchester United have been credited with an interest in Ramos in the past and may look to rekindle their efforts if money is available for a new frontman in the summer.

Meanwhile, Newcastle United have allegedly sent scouts to monitoring the development of Atalanta BC midfielder Ederson.

The Magpies find themselves in a difficult situation with regards to options in the engine room, with Joelinton suffering an injury that could lead to him joining Sandro Tonali missing the remainder of the season.

At the same time, Newcastle have minimal leeway with FFP, making a value-for-money loan deal the most likely route to strengthening their squad, yet players are still being shortlisted for the summer.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, the Premier League outfit had scouts present to watch Ederson represent Atalanta against Frosinone on Monday night.

Ederson has impressed for the Italian outfit this campaign, establishing himself as a regular with 25 starts and two substitute outings being made in all competitions.

Atalanta have allegedly responded to interest from Newcastle by declaring that the 24-year-old is not for sale until the summer at the earliest.

West Ham United are said to have received an offer from Marseille for winger Said Benrahma, who may be allowed to leave the London Stadium.

On Tuesday night, Benrahma was sent off during the FA Cup third-round replay at Bristol City, with the Hammers going down by a 1-0 scoreline at Ashton Gate.

However, there had already been speculation regarding the playmaker's future with the 28-year-old having made just five starts in the Premier League during 2023-24.

According to Footmercato, Marseille have made an opening bid to sign Benrahma before the end of the month.

Marseille allegedly want a loan deal with an option to buy in the summer, while West Ham are keen to recoup €23m (£19.7m) either in January or later in the year. body check tags ::
