Manchester United want to bring West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice to Old Trafford, according to a report.

Manchester United are reportedly interested in signing West Ham United midfielder Declan Rice this summer, with three senior figures at the club in agreement over the England international.

The 22-year-old has been instrumental to West Ham's top-four challenge in the Premier League this season, playing every minute of his side's 2020-21 campaign to date.

Chelsea were strongly linked with the Englishman last summer, but it is thought that the club's interest has cooled since Frank Lampard left his position as head coach.

Man United have also recently been linked with Rice, and according to The Express, head coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has the backing of the club's football director John Murtough and technical director Darren Fletcher.

The report claims that all three individuals believe that Rice 'would be an asset' for the Red Devils, although West Ham are thought to value the former Chelsea youngster in excess of £100m.

The midfielder has scored four times and contributed five assists in 141 appearances for the Hammers in all competitions, while he has a contract at the London Stadium until June 2024. body check tags ::
