Real Madrid have reportedly won the race to sign Bayern Munich defender David Alaba on a free transfer.

With less than six months remaining on his contract, the Austria international is in a position where he can hold discussions with foreign clubs.

However, according to Marca, the 28-year-old has already decided that he will move to the Bernabeu at the end of the season.

The report claims that Alaba has agreed to pen a four-year contract with Los Blancos worth €11m (£9.89m) per season.

Manchester United, Liverpool and Barcelona had all been linked with a move for Alaba, who will end his decade-long association with Bayern.

The European champions allegedly made three offers in a bid to keep the versatile player in Germany. body check tags ::
