Real Madrid are reportedly set to offer midfielder Eduardo Camavinga a new contract.

Since joining Los Blancos from Rennes in 2021, Camavinga has made 84 appearances, contributing two goals and five assists.

The Frenchman predominately plays as a central midfielder, but his versatility has been key to Carlo Ancelotti's side this season.

Camavinga has filled in at left-back on a number of occasions this term, including in Wednesday's emphatic 4-0 victory over Barcelona which sent Real Madrid through to the Copa del Rey final.

The 20-year-old, who has already won five trophies in his time with Real Madrid, has a contract with the Spanish giants until June 2027.

Despite having four years left to run on his current deal, Fabrizio Romano is reporting that he will be offered a new contract in the near future.

Camavinga was linked with a move to Arsenal in the January transfer window, while Manchester United are believed to be among his admirers.

However, the reigning European champions are not interested in a sale as they regard the France international as "untouchable".

Real Madrid club president Florentino Perez is said to be a big fan of Camavinga and views him as a key player for the future.

With the likes of Toni Kroos and Luka Modric expected to leave the club in the next couple of years, Camavinga's role in the side could take on greater importance.

Camavinga is said to be happy at the Santiago Bernabeu, and as a result, he is likely to be open to signing a new contract.

Talks are still yet to take place over a new deal, but when they do, Real Madrid will look to offer improved terms and increase the player's release clause.

Camavinga allegedly has €700m (£619.7m) release clause, and Real Madrid are reportedly keen to raise that figure to €1bn (£885.2m).

Real Madrid face Villarreal on Saturday before they turn their attention to the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final tie against Chelsea, which takes place at the Santiago Bernabeu on Wednesday. body check tags ::
