Paul Pogba will reportedly have to reduce his £290k-a-week wages if he is to return to Juventus from Manchester United this summer.

Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba would reportedly have to take a hit on his salary if he is to seal a return to Juventus this summer.

The Frenchman's future remains up in the air as he runs down the final few months of his Old Trafford deal, and he is free to sign a pre-contract agreement with foreign clubs.

Pogba recently returned from a lengthy injury layoff and opened the scoring in his side's 1-1 draw with Burnley in midweek, but there are currently no indications that he will extend his stay with the Red Devils.

According to Il Bianconero, Pogba has his heart set on a return to Juventus despite interest from Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain, but his £290k-a-week salary will be a stumbling block.

The report adds that the 28-year-old will therefore be forced to reduce his wages in order to return to Turin, but the possible sale of Matthijs de Ligt could boost Juve's coffers.

Pogba's strike at Turf Moor was his first goal of the season after 15 matches, with the World Cup winner now boasting 39 strikes and 49 assists in 221 appearances for the Red Devils.

The former Le Havre youngster amassed 34 goals and 40 assists in 178 games during his first spell at Juventus, winning four Serie A titles and reaching the Champions League final. body check tags ::
