Manchester United are reportedly at the head of the queue for Metz midfielder Pape Sarr.

The 18-year-old joined Metz from Senegal Premier League side Generation Foot last September and has made 16 Ligue 1 appearances during the 2020-21 campaign, scoring twice.

Sarr also made his debut for Senegal against Congo last month, and according to The Sun, a number of European clubs have been scouting the teenager in recent months.

The report claims that Man United are currently leading the race for the midfielder, who penned a five-year contract with Metz upon his arrival last year.

Sarr has featured in each of his side's last 14 league matches, scoring against Brest and Montpellier in back-to-back fixtures towards the start of 2021.

There is also allegedly strong interest from Nice, with Les Grenats seemingly facing a tough task to keep hold of the teenager on a long-term basis. body check tags ::
