Manchester United and Manchester City have reportedly been alerted to the possibility that Inter Milan would be willing to sell Milan Skriniar this summer.

The two Manchester clubs have been tracking the centre-back ahead of possible bids this summer, having both made the signing of defensive reinforcements one of their top priorities for when the transfer window reopens.

United are eager to find a long-term partner for Harry Maguire, while Man City have not yet found a replacement for Vincent Kompany and have been hit badly by injuries in that area of the field this season.

Skriniar was left out of Inter Milan's 3-1 win over Torino on Monday night, and Football Italia claims that manager Antonio Conte is increasingly open to the idea of cashing in on him.

The 25-year-old Slovakia international is expected to command a fee of around £54m, making him a cheaper option than Napoli's Kalidou Koulibaly, who has also been linked with the Manchester duo.

Skriniar has made 123 appearances for Inter since joining from Sampdoria in 2017, including 37 this season.
