Manchester United considering summer move for Sven Botman?

Manchester United could move for Lille centre-back Sven Botman this summer, according to a report.
Sports Mole

Lille centre-back Sven Botman has reportedly emerged as a potential summer target for Manchester United.

The 21-year-old only joined Lille from Ajax last July, penning a five-year deal with the Ligue 1 club, and he has made 45 appearances in all competitions during the 2020-21 campaign.

Man United are expected to bring a new centre-back to the club during this summer's transfer window, with head coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer thought to want a long-term partner for Harry Maguire.

According to Sky Sports News, the 20-time English champions have identified Botman as a possible arrival ahead of the 2021-22 campaign.

The Dutchman, who is believed to have cost Lille in the region of £8m last summer, has featured in all but one of his side's 36 Ligue 1 matches during the current season.

Liverpool were also credited with an interest in the defender during the January transfer window. body check tags ::
