Lyon could re-sign Samuel Umtiti from Barcelona during this summer's transfer window, according to a report.

Lyon are reportedly interested in re-signing Samuel Umtiti during this summer's transfer window.

The 26-year-old only made 13 La Liga appearances during an injury-hit 2019-20 campaign and is believed to be surplus to requirements at Camp Nou.

Manchester United have been linked with a move for the France international, who could allegedly be allowed to leave Barca for free despite having a contract until June 2023.

However, according to L'Equipe, Lyon are also keen to bring the World Cup winner back to the club.

Umtiti turned out on 170 occasions for the French giants before moving to Spain, but he would allegedly have to lower his wage demands in order to secure a return to Les Gones.

The centre-back is not expected to be involved in Barca's La Liga opener against Villarreal on Sunday night.
