Leicester City to battle Arsenal, Liverpool for Yves Bissouma?

Leicester City enter the race to sign Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Yves Bissouma, according to a report.

Leicester City are reportedly preparing to battle Arsenal and Liverpool for the signature of Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Yves Bissouma this summer.

The 24-year-old has been a key player for the Seagulls during the 2020-21 campaign, contributing two goals in 30 appearances, and Arsenal and Liverpool were both linked with him in January.

Brighton are expected to lose the midfielder this summer even if they manage to stay in the Premier League, and according to The Mirror, Leicester are also in the mix for his signature.

The report claims that Foxes boss Brendan Rodgers wants to pair Bissouma with Wilfred Ndidi in midfield next season and believes that a top-four finish for the club this season would give them the edge over Arsenal and Liverpool, who are currently outside the Champions League positions.

Brighton are in a strong position to negotiate for the Mali international, though, as he has a contract at the Amex until the end of the 2022-23 campaign.

Bissouma has also previously been linked with a move to Manchester United. body check tags ::
