Manchester United reportedly face losing out to Juventus in the race to sign Brescia midfielder Sandro Tonali during this summer's transfer window.

The 19-year-old played a key role in his club earning promotion from Serie B last season and has again been in impressive form this term, contributing one goal and four assists in 21 Serie A appearances.

United are allegedly keen to sign the teenager at the end of the 2019-20 campaign, but according to Calciomercato, Juve are currently in the driving seat.

The report claims that the Italian champions are lining up a £42m offer for the Italy international in the hope of completing a deal in the early stages of the upcoming window.

Tonali's current deal with Brescia will expire in June 2021, although Le Rondinelle do have the option of activating an additional 12 months until the following summer.

Manchester City, Atletico Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain have also previously been credited with an interest in his services during the current season.
