Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish has reportedly told his friends that he wants to move to Manchester United.

The 24-year-old has been a revelation for Dean Smith's side this season, and has been continuously linked with a switch to Old Trafford in the summer.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer strengthened his midfield in January with the signing of Portugal's Bruno Fernandes, and is now keen to add the Englishman to his ranks.

According to the Manchester Evening News, Grealish has confided in his friends that United is his preferred destination, and is believed to have a £45m release clause in his contract.

Despite finding themselves near the foot of the table in 17th, Grealish has registered seven goals and five assists for Villa this season and can look forward to a EFL Cup final appearance against Manchester City.

United have also been handed a boost in their pursuit of French forward Moussa Dembele.
