Manchester United legend Gary Neville has called on his former club to sign Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane.

The 27-year-old is regarded by many as one of the world's best centre-backs, having won four Champions Leagues during his time at Los Blancos, in addition to winning the 2018 World Cup with France.

Varane's future has come under the spotlight in recent months due to his contract expiring in 2022, and Neville has revealed that the Frenchman would be his dream signing at Old Trafford.

The former England international further claimed that the Red Devils need to prioritise bringing in a new defender, striker and right-winger once the window reopens in the summer.

Varane, who has made 355 appearances for Real Madrid, has less than 15 months left on his contract at the Bernabeu. body check tags ::
