Chelsea want to sign Atletico Madrid midfielder Saul Niguez during this summer's transfer window, according to a report.

Chelsea are reportedly ready to battle a number of clubs for the signature of Atletico Madrid midfielder Saul Niguez during this summer's transfer window.

The Spaniard is allegedly available for transfer in the upcoming market, having found it difficult to show his best form for Diego Simeone's side during the 2020-21 campaign.

Manchester United and Liverpool have both been strongly linked with the midfielder, while a recent report claimed that Bayern Munich had agreed a £68m deal for his services.

However, according to AS, there is also firm interest from Chelsea, with the Blues keen to improve their midfield options ahead of the 2021-22 season.

The report claims that there is 'no shortage of offers' for Saul, with Paris Saint-Germain joining the list of clubs keeping a close eye on developments.

The Spaniard, who made 41 appearances for Atletico last season, still has more than five years left to run on his contract at Wanda Metropolitano. body check tags ::
