Chelsea and Arsenal are reportedly among a number of clubs keeping tabs on Nordsjaelland starlet Mario Dorgeles.

The 19-year-old midfielder is widely considered as one of the next brightest stars to emerge from the everlasting Nordsjaelland conveyor belt of talent.

Nordsjaelland work in partnership with the Right to Dream football academy in Ghana, which has produced a plethora of African stars including Mohammed Kudus, Kamaldeen Sulemana, Simon Adingra and Ibrahim Osman, who will link up with Adingra at Brighton & Hove Albion this summer.

Dorgeles joined Nordsjaelland in the summer of 2022 and has since made 43 first-team appearances in all competitions, including 11 starts and 12 substitute outings this season.

The teenager defensive midfielder is being coached by Nordsjaelland assistant and Chelsea legend Michael Essien in Denmark, and is understood to have caught the eye of several top European clubs.

According to the Evening Standard, Chelsea, Arsenal, Newcastle United and Brighton are among the Premier League teams interested in Dorgeles.

The report adds that Manchester United-bound sporting director Dan Ashworth, who has been put on gardening leave by Newcastle, is also an admirer of the technically gifted left-footed midfielder.

In addition, Dorgeles has attracted interest from France, with Ligue 1 quartet Monaco, Marseille, Lille and Lyon all said to have joined the race for his signature this summer.

Even though Dorgeles still has two-and-a-half years remaining on his Nordsjaelland contract, the Ivory Coast Under-23 international is expected to leave the Danish club this summer.

Among those interested clubs, Chelsea in particular have heavily invested in luring a plethora of the world's most promising youngsters to Stamford Bridge since the arrival of owner Todd Boehly and Clearlake Capital.

The West Londoners have recruited as many as 14 players aged 21 or under since the start of last season, and they have certainly shown their willingness to spend big on a number of those youngsters to fend off competition from rivals.

Moises Caicedo was the most notable addition by Chelsea last summer for a club-record £115m, while teenage quartet Romeo Lavia, Lesley Ugochukwu, Deivid Washington and Angelo Gabriel all joined the club in the same transfer window for a combined fee in excess of £100m.
