Brighton & Hove Albion reportedly want to sign Manchester United attacker Daniel James on loan.

The 23-year-old has only made three Premier League appearances for the Red Devils during the 2020-21 campaign, having fallen down the pecking order at Old Trafford.

Leeds United have again been linked with a move, but the Wales international is allegedly keen to remain with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side and fight for his spot in the second half of the season.

According to The Sun, Brighton boss Graham Potter, who worked with the attacker at Swansea City, views James as the ideal signing to boost his team's survival fight.

The report claims that the Welshman is open to the idea of playing under Potter again and could leave next month in order to secure regular football ahead of the European Championships.

James has scored once in six appearances for the Red Devils this season. body check tags ::
