Bayern Munich rule out "unimaginable" move for Erling Braut Haaland

Bayern Munich CEO Oliver Kahn has ruled out a move for Erling Braut Haaland, saying that the money Borussia Dortmund are asking for the striker is "unimaginable".

Haaland is arguably the most sought-after player in world football heading into the summer transfer window after scoring 53 goals in 56 appearances for Dortmund.

A number of European heavyweights have been tipped to make an offer for the Norway international, including Dortmund's Bundesliga rivals Bayern.

However, Kahn insists that it is not possible for the German champions to move for Haaland in the current financial climate, with BVB supposedly seeking in excess of €100m (£86.1m).

"Sorry, whoever spoke about that didn't understand the situation," he told Bild.

"A package that costs - as we heard - over €100m is unimaginable for FC Bayern at the moment."

Barcelona are rumoured to have already made an initial approach for Haaland, while Real Madrid, Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea are the other teams interested in the 20-year-old. body check tags ::
