DC United's Luciano Acosta 'happy' with Manchester United interest

DC United midfielder Luciano Acosta admits that he is 'happy' that Manchester United are showing an interest in his signature.

DC United midfielder Luciano Acosta has acknowledged that he welcomes Manchester United's interest in his signature.

Acosta has found himself linked with a move to Europe in recent months, and United scouts were present to watch the Argentine against LAFC last week.

The 24-year-old failed to make an impact in that game, but the player has admitted that he has been left encouraged by the presence of the Premier League giants.

Acosta is quoted by The Mirror as saying: "I'm obviously happy [United] were here. They came to see me, and obviously I just went out and tried my best.

"Today wasn't my day, we were up against a great opponent and in reality I'm just sad for the group's performance today, and mine too."

Acosta's contract with the MLS club expires at the end of 2019.
