Manchester United team news: Injury, suspension list vs. Chelsea

Sports Mole rounds up Manchester United's latest injury and suspension news ahead of their Premier League clash with Chelsea on Sunday.

Manchester United face a huge Premier League clash against top-four rivals Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Sunday afternoon.

The Red Devils have faded badly in recent weeks, losing seven of their last nine matches in all competitions, most recently going down 2-0 to Manchester City on Wednesday night.

United are still just three points behind Chelsea in the final Champions League qualification spot, however, setting up a make-or-break showdown in West London.

Here, Sports Mole rounds up the latest injury and suspension news for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's men ahead of the match with Chelsea.

MAN UNITED'S INJURY LIST

Phil Jones

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Knock
Possible return date: April 28 (vs. Chelsea)

Jones was substituted off in the 4-0 loss to Everton last weekend and was not part of the squad against Man City three days later. Solskjaer is hoping for a positive updates on the centre-back's fitness ahead of his side's trip to Stamford Bridge.

Ander Herrera

Status: Major doubt
Type of injury: Hamstring
Possible return date: April 28 (vs. Chelsea)

Herrera has not featured for United since the end of March because of a niggling injury problem, and he remains doubtful for this match in West London. Solskjaer bizarrely claimed earlier this month that the Spaniard's injury issues may be directly linked to doubts over his future.

Eric Bailly

Status: Slight doubt
Type of injury: Concussion
Possible return date: April 28 (vs. Chelsea)

Bailly suffered concussion while on international duty with the Ivory Coast last month and has not featured since returning to Manchester.

Antonio Valencia

Status: Out
Type of injury: Muscle injury
Possible return date: Unknown

Valencia appears certain to be in the final weeks of his United career. An injury-plagued final campaign at Old Trafford is unlikely to end on a high, as he is still nursing a muscular problem and is no closer to a return.

MAN UNITED'S SUSPENSION LIST

The Red Devils have no players suspended for Sunday's match.
