Manchester United would reportedly have to pay Ole Gunnar Solskjaer £7.5m if they decided to sack the Norwegian as head coach in the coming weeks.

Solskjaer is expected to remain in charge for Saturday's Premier League clash with Tottenham Hotspur despite calls for the 48-year-old to leave in the aftermath of the 5-0 defeat to Liverpool.

However, there is still immense pressure on the head coach, with former Inter Milan manager Antonio Conte the favourite to take on the role if there is a change at the helm.

According to The Sun, Man United would have to pay Solskjaer a £7.5m severance package in order to sack the club's former striker at this moment in time.

The report claims that the Norwegian, who is the fifth highest-paid manager in the Premier League, would be due to receive a full year's salary as part of any dismissal.

Man United will follow this weekend's clash against Tottenham with fixtures against Atalanta BC and Manchester City ahead of the November international break. body check tags ::
